The Internet's love affair with all things feline-related is a well-documented phenomenon, ranging from YouTube sensations like Stalking Cat and Nyan Cat to the meteoric rise of Grumpy Cat to Japan's fabled cat cafes. However, one Japanese company is tapping into the Internet phenomenon in a rather unique way by combining kitties with one of Japan's most recognizable dishes - sushi! Now before you start contacting PETA about misconduct, you should know that no cats were harmed in the making of nekozushi ("cat sushi"); in fact, they're not edible at all (well, technically, they are, but then again, anything is an edible arrangement if you want it bad enough). Rather, these aww-inspiring animals are part of a surreal, but supremely kawaii photo series that's blowing up across the web.

Disney’s ‘Big Hero 6' Set for Nov. ’14 Release

Disney Studio released info and art about its upcoming 2014 animated release: Based on the Marvel comic of the same name, the CG-animated, 3D Big Hero 6 will be released in theaters on November 7, 2014.
The studio describes the pic as an “action comedy adventure about brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city.”

Captain Action Gets a Lady for Animated Series

Captain Action Enterprises, in conjunction with Gang of Seven Animation (which worked on Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Wolverine and the X-Men, and others), is developing an animated Captain Action series that will include Lady Action, a new female character. The series is currently being pitched to networks. The Lady Action character has begun to appear at conventions, and could eventually be used for merch as well.

Yoda Chronicles’ Premieres on Cartoon Network in May

Great news this is: Star Wars is set to return to Cartoon Network with The Yoda Chronicles, a new Star Wars story told in three animated specials. The first 30-minute special titled The Phantom Clone will premiere on Wednesday, May 29 at 8 p.m. on CN, with the second and third installments airing later this year.
