The 'All You Need is Kill' Adaptation: Live, Die, Repeat
Dec,11,2013
by+Staff

Tom Cruise is trapped in Groundhog Day, but at least he has a cool weaponized exoskeleton in this first trailer for Edge of Tomorrow, the adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s light novel All You Need Is Kill.
Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Tom Cruise) is caught in a time loop, stuck in a powersuit in the middle of an alien invasion where he dies in battle … and wakes up, only to repeat the whole experience. In one of his déjà-vu days, he meets Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt) who is somehow living a similar scenario. How close director Doug Liman (Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Jumper, Go) will stay to the source material is hard to tell.

NOZOMI ENTERTAINMENT Announces the Litebox-style DVD release of THE THIRD: THE GIRL WITH THE BLUE EYE

GRIMES, IA, December 11, 2013 — Anime producer Nozomi Entertainment is pleased to announce The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye will be released on April 1, 2014.

This new value-priced DVD set will feature the complete 24-episodes anime with English audio, Japanese audio and English-language subtitles. On-disc extras will contain character bios including some with commentary by Megumi Toyoguchi (Honoka), Japanese voice actor interviews, music videos and trailers.

The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye is based on a popular series of novels and short stories written by Ryou Hoshino and illustrated by Nao Goto.

Spanning 17 volumes, the original light novel series appeared in Japan’s Dragon Magazine in 1999, alongside the serialized novels that inspired the Full Metal Panic! and Slayers anime series. Additionally, the manga adaptation ran in the Monthly Dragon Age Magazine (home to the Black Blood Brothers, Highschool of the Dead and Chrono Crusade manga).

XEBEC (Martian Successor Nadesico, Fafner) produced the animation for the TV series, which ran on Japan’s WOWOW satellite channel from April through October 2006.

About The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye:
One Girl. One Tank. No Problem. In a devastated world overrun by monstrous bugs and ravaged by outlaws, there's only one person to call when you really need a job done right: Honoka. With a sixth sense for danger, sword skills that are second to none, and a smart-aleck A.I. tank by the name of Bogie, she's ready to tackle any job and solve any problem for her clients. But while crossing the desert one night, she finds a young man alone in the wasteland. It's the first step of a journey that will challenge even Honoka's amazing skills to their very limit!

New 'Wolverine' International Trailer
June,12,2013
by:+Staff

A new international trailer for The Wolverine has popped up (in English, but also subtitled). Though remarkably similar in length (2:27 vs 2:33) to the trailer released last month (see "Yukio, Silver Samurai Featured in New 'Wolverine' Trailer") the content differs. There is no 30 seconds of Jean Grey flashback, and in its place is more sword-fighting action (Wolverine actually contemplates being called a ronin) and more Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper. There is also a bit of a spoiler, a hint in the dialog about Shingen Yashida’s real motives for helping Wolverine cure his immortality. The Wolverine will open in theaters on July 26th.
