Speaking at the ABC Upfronts Joss Whedon has confirmed that the brother and sister team of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch will be in Avengers 2. Whedon’s comments indicate that the "brother-sister act" that he referred to as his "favorite characters from the comic book" in previous discussions about new characters who would be included in the Avengers sequel, are as previously reported Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (see "Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in 'Avengers 2'").

The Monster Kingdom - In news guaranteed to satisfy manga fans, film geeks and evil pre-teen sociopaths, Guillermo Del Toro (Hellboy, Pan's Labyrinth, Pacific Rim) recently announced his involvement in an HBO pilot for an adaption of Naoki Urasawa's horror manga Monster. Not only is everyone's favorite geek-director producing, writing and directing the pilot, but he also revealed that the show would be a strict adaptation of the manga with no “extra” content to pad out the episode count.
