There are so many geek films in the pipe that the pics and vids are flowing faster than ever. On Wednesday, two new pieces were released, from Star Trek into Darkness and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The Star Trek poster from J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek into Darkness was in both a conventional format and in a "cinemosaic" format that puts videos in sections of the poster.

Sullivan's Consuming Spirits to Screen in L.A.

L.A. audiences will have the chance to check out indie animator Christopher Sullivan’s widely acclaimed movie Consuming Spirits as the pic begins a week run at the Cinefamily theater this Friday (April 12). The highly original and very adult feature chronicles the lives of Gentian Violet, Victor Blue and Earl Gray, three complex characters who live in a rust belt town called Magguson and work at its local newspaper. An auto accident leads to the revelation of powerful events in their common history. According to The Huffington Post, Sullivan’s animation for the 129-minute film took about 15 years of work.

'Mars Attacks: Invasion' New Story-Based Set

Topps will release Mars Attacks: Invasion, with a new story-based set of hand-painted cards, in October. This will be the first new story-based Mars Attacks cards in over 50 years. Artists on the set, including Earl Norem, Joe Jusko, Ed Repka, Glen Orbik, Gregory Staples, and others, will each illustrate multiple cards, with the 63-card story-based portion of the set divided into themed subsets.
