Marvel, Netflix Team Up for Four New Series

An unprecedented deal with Disney-owned Marvel TV will see four all-new live-action series and a mini-series based on the comic brands’ popular characters coming to Netflix beginning in 2015. The four 13-episode shows focusing on Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage battling the forces of evil in Hell’s Kitchen, New York will unfold over multiple years of original programming and lead into an epic miniseries programming event, The Defenders.

Genuinely lost films in feature animation are so rare as to qualify as unique, but there is at least one: Hanna-Barbera’s Rock Odyssey. Intended as the rock n’ roll answer to Fantasia, Rock Odyssey was produced on-and-off over a six year period from the early-to-mid 1980s. While it’s safe to say that very few people have actually seen Rock Odyssey, I’m one who has, and I can report that it is…quite an experience.

'Snowpiercer' GN Releases for Movie

Titan’s translated editions of the French science-fiction thriller Snowpiercer, which were announced at New York Comic Con (see "Titan's Next Wave of Creator-Owned Titles"), will be released in early 2014, in time for the American debut of the movie adaptation, which is being distributed in the U.S. by the Weinstein Company.
