R2-D2 Is in 'Star Wars VII' First Behind-the-Scenes Pic

Bad Robot, director J.J. Abrams’ production company, has tweeted the first behind-the-scenes photo from the Star Wars production, and it displays a character that had not previously been confirmed for the film. R2-D2 and C-3PO were the only two characters to appear in all six Star Wars films to date (discounting the duel persona of Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi in ghost as well as corporeal form), and this appears to be visual confirmation that at least the short member of the pair, R2-D2, will appear in Star Wars VII, currently casting.

New Season of ‘Archer’ to Debut on Jan 13

FX has announced that the fifth season of its hugely popular animated comedy Archer is set to premiere on Monday, Jan. 13 at 10 p.m.. The show, which is created by Adam Reed, first debuted on FX in September of 2009. Produced by Reed and Matt Thompson, the show centers on the adventures of suave and self-centered master spy Sterling Archer and his colleagues at the ISIS, the International Secret Intelligence Service in New York City. The stellar voice cast includes H. Jon Benjamin, Judy Greer, Amber Nash, Chris Parnell, Aisha Tyler, Jessica Walter, George Coe and Adam Reed. The show’s animation is produced by Floyd County Productions in Atlanta.

'Jessica Jones' and 'Daredevil' Get Showrunners

Showrunners for Daredevil and Jessica Jones, the first two Netflix Marvel series (see "Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage Netflix Series"), appear to be falling into place, according to Deadline Hollywood. Melissa Rosenberg (Dexter, Birds of Prey, and the Twilight films) is attached to Jessica Jones, according to the report; she’s been connected to the show since 2010 (see "TV Show Based on Bendis' 'Alias'"). It’s not clear how many of Rosenberg’s past ideas for the show (for example, see "Power Man and Ms. Marvel on TV") will make it into this new version, though, as the show is being redeveloped for Netflix.
