New Clip for ‘Mr. Peabody & Sherman’

20th Century Fox has released a new clip from the upcoming DreamWorks Animation feature Mr. Peabody & Sherman, due for release March 7 in stereoscopic 3D. The feature is based on the time-traveling characters created by Ted Key and originally appearing on Jay Ward’s animated Rocky & Bullwinkle TV series that first aired in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

New Nightcrawler' Ongoing Series

Marvel will launch an All-New Marvel NOW! Nightcrawler ongoing series by Chris Claremont, Todd Nauck, and Daniel Ketchum in April, the company announced.
The character was resurrected in Amazing X-Men and will now headline his own title, in which he will be paired with Wolverine in the first arc. The storyline will take place in a dramatically changed world, in which Professor X has died, Cyclops leads a band of revolutionaries, and Wolverine is the headmaster of the Jean Grey School.

Toons Dominate Japan’s Box Office in 2013

Animation proved to be by far the most popular Hollywood export for moviegoers in Japan in 2013.Reports of the year’s final box office numbers state seven of 2013′s top ten movies were animated films. The domestic smash The Wind Rises, possibly animator Hayao Miyazaki’s final feature, was the top film at the Japanese box office with about $116 million in ticket sales. It was followed closely by Pixar’s Monsters University at $89 million, followed by Seth MacFarlane’s animation-live action hybrid comedy Ted.
