'Avatar' Sequels Scheduled For Three Consecutive Christmases

The three planned Avatar sequels will be released at Christmas 2016, 2017, and 2018, director James Cameron announced in New Zealand this week. The announcement was made in conjunction with the unveiling of a new incentive structure for New Zealand film production by Prime Minister John Key.
Effects house Weta has been working on preliminary design work for the films, which are expected to begin shooting in New Zealand next fall (see "'Avatar' Sequels to Start Shooting Fall 2014").

Hulu Streams English Dub of VIZ Media’s ‘K’

VIZ Media’s intriguing animated psychological thriller K has begun its free run on Hulu and the Hulu Plus subscription service. The complete series (13 episodes) debuted today (Dec. 18) with dubbed English dialogue and will run until Wednesday, January 15th.
K was developed by GoHands, the noted Japanese animation studio that created the cyberpunk anime film series, Mardock Scramble, and the writers’ collective, GoRA Project. K also is also currently featured in Japanese with English subtitles on VIZAnime.com, VIZ Media’s own free anime website.

Plastino Kennedy Story Recovered Finally Donated To Kennedy Museum

DC Entertainment announced today that it acquired Al Plastino’s art from his 1964 "Superman’s Mission for President Kennedy" story and donated it to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, as the recently deceased artist had intended. The art had gone astray sometime in the intervening decades between when it was drawn in 1963 and this fall, when it turned up turned up for private auction (and was on promotional display at New York Comic Con) to coincide with the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy’s assassination.
