Big Debuts From Dark Horse Comics + DH Heroes

There's never been a better time to be a fan of Dark Horse Comics, as they prepare to make some big debuts--and pass some major milestones--this summer!

Halo is one of the world's biggest video game franchises, with more than $3 billion in sales over its lifetime--which makes Dark Horse's upcoming Halo comic book series one to watch. Dark Horse is known for its superior licensed comics, and after the success of its Mass Effect and Dragon Age comics, Halo is sure to be a high-profile book.

DH's other big debut is actually quite tiny: Itty Bitty Hellboy! Art Baltazar and Franco (Superman Family, Tiny Titans) reimagine Mike Mignola's iconic and B.P.R.D. characters in this new kids' series. This announcement got a lot of attention at Chicago's C2E2 convention!

Classic superhero fans make sure to visit our special Dark Horse Heroes page. Dark Horse is rebooting classic heroes like Ghost and X, and introducing newer titles like Michael Avon Oeming's The Victories and Black Beetle, by Francesco Francavilla!

PSA: Have You Read The Dark Knight Returns?

PSA: Have You Read The Dark Knight Returns?

There's a reason why Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns is on so many top-10 lists. Miller has a firm grasp on the character and sets up a killer story set in a dystopian near-future where all the superheroes have hung up their capes (save for Superman).

After years of being away, Bruce Wayne suits up again. He's not as spry as he used to be, but he's still Batman. He still stands for something. The media plays a large role in the story, with the narrative broken up by pundits debating Batman's return and his place in society. Familiar villains and heroes also appear in the story, and it's a treat each time one pops up on the page.

There are two camps: those who haven't read it and have loved it, and those who haven't read it. It's that good. If you're one of those unfortunate souls who hasn't read this book, mark it off your to-do list today. Borrow a copy from a friend or check it out from your local library. We also have a few copies for sale, FYI. ;)
